Fowler Family YMCA in Peachtree Corners is honoring the legacy of one of the city’s most dedicated citizens through the creation of a new state-of-the-art playground. Peachtree Corners lost John Manning, a 30-year Neely Farm resident, a little more than a year ago in a tragic accident. John devoted his life to his church, his community, and most importantly to children as he spread his love for Jesus through his children’s sermons.
A groundbreaking celebration will be held on Friday, November 8, at 11 a.m. at Fowler Family YMCA. This day would have been John’s 72nd birthday.
All community members are invited as we remember his legacy with a balloon release and a few words by the Manning Playground committee members and family. The committee is actively seeking donations, both personal and corporate, as they raise dollars to build the new playground.
If you are unable to attend the event, please consider donating (https://ymcaofmetroatlanta.givingfuel.com/john-manning) to honor John Manning as his light continues to shine to children in and around Peachtree Corners.
