In March, the Peachtree Corners Rotary Club participated in a project aimed at honoring our teachers in the Norcross/PTC cluster and the Special Needs School of Gwinnett. The club members committed funds for the project. Rotarians Erica McCurdy of McCurdy Solutions Group and Eric Walls of Chick-fil-a worked together to apply for a matching grant. This made it possible to purchase supplies for 25 classrooms.

Video Message from Erica MCCurdy and Rotary Club of Peachtree Corners as they pack backpacks.

The goal was to provide a backpack full of the things teachers need and want the most but rarely have the budget to purchase. Some of the items included in the backpacks are thermal laminators, individual white boards, pre-sharpened pencils, and pencil sharpeners that do not require batteries. The club gathered on Monday, March 29 in the Community Chest room to put the packages together. The backpacks will be personally delivered by Rotarians over the next 60 days to the schools in our area.

The club meets on Monday at noon in the Community Chest room of Peachtree Corners City Hall. You can learn more about Rotary at peachtreecornersrotary.org
