On April 11, Cobb Global Outreach (CGO) Inc. presented Ricky DeLeon-Bartolon and Cameron Jackson each with a $1,000 2023 CGO Inc. Scholarship. The scholarship recognizes their achievements in class, in the local community and is a testament to their integrity, compassion and humility.
Cobb Global Outreach Inc.’s mission is to decrease the wage gap by providing scholarships and education about financial literacy to youth and young adults of color — particularly middle and high school students — to help them reach their dreams of attending post-secondary institutions.
To qualify for the scholarship, students must carry a 2.8 GPA or higher, submit a typed essay meeting the minimum word requirement and provide two letters of recommendation. The essay should focus on the applicant’s personal experiences, future career goals and how the CGO Inc. scholarship would better equip them for a successful future.
