On March 25, students from International Charter Academy of Georgia (ICA Georgia) attended International Day at the Georgia State Capitol, where they performed a song in Japanese and English.
International Day at the Capitol featured welcoming
remarks by Governor Brian Kemp, remarks by Commissioner Pat Wilson of the
Georgia Department of Economic Development, members of the Consular Corps, and
school performances in various languages by G.L.O.B.E. Academy, International
Charter School of Atlanta, and International Charter Academy of Georgia.
International Charter Academy of Georgia is a statewide
K-5 charter school located in Peachtree Corners, GA and uses the dual language
immersion model for Japanese and English instruction. The school, which opened
in fall 2018, is the first dual language immersion for Japanese and English in
the state of Georgia.
