The Peachtree Corners Business Association (PCBA) launched a new program, PCBA Feeding the Front Line, to support workers on the front line during the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic. The program is part of the organization’s ongoing Community Outreach initiatives and includes working with local restaurants to prepare meals for workers including those in healthcare, EMT, and first responders.
During the week of April 12th, meals were delivered to doctors, nurses, lab technicians, and other staff at Emory Johns Creek Hospital and multi-shifts at Gwinnett County Fire Station 4 in Peachtree Corners, GA. Additionally, throughout the month, and potentially longer, other first line workers will be supported. Firebirds Wood Fired Grill in Peachtree Corners generously donated hot meals for all 3 shifts at Gwinnett County Fire Station 4.
“We’re thrilled to be able to team up with local restaurants in our community to support our front line workers,” shares Allison Reinert, the Communications Chair for the PCBA. “We’re working with each group of front line workers to ensure meals are delivered in a safe manner and meet the needs of their staff,” says Ms. Reinert.
The PCBA is dedicated to giving back to the community. Since 2013, the Peachtree Corners Business Association has donated over $87,000 to local charities and non-profit groups. Additionally, the PCBA has launched an online Resource Center to help provide COVID-19 resources to businesses.
