The City of Peachtree Corners is recruiting volunteers to serve on the City of Peachtree Corners’ Redevelopment Agency.  The mission of the Redevelopment Agency is to facilitate new development projects within the southern portion of the city, an area generally bounded by Spalding Drive to the west, Holcomb Bridge Road to the north, Buford Hwy. to the east, and Winters Chapel Rd. to the south.

The work of the Redevelopment Agency is in support of the Holcomb Bridge Road Corridor Urban Redevelopment Plan (https://www.peachtreecornersga.gov/home/showdocument?id=8432) which identifies opportunities for improved housing and commercial districts through the use of incentives, regulatory requirements, and other mechanisms to induce redevelopment.

The Redevelopment Agency is expected to have 10 – 12 meetings per year lasting 2 – 3 hours per meeting.  Volunteers wishing to serve on the Redevelopment Agency must be Peachtree Corners residents and should preferably have some experience in a field associated with property development such as finance, construction, real estate, or law. Anyone interested in volunteering should email their resume to dwheeler@peachtreecornersga.gov. by September 25, 2020.
