The Cornerstone Christian Academy 7th grade volleyball team completed a perfect season with a win over Eastside to win the NAML Championship for the 7th straight year. The Cougars finished 26-0 including winning the Gwinnett County Championship and the Wesleyan Invitational.

“An amazing season. I feel blessed to have been a part of it,” Head Coach Chuck Faust said.

After a great start, the Cougars played in the Gwinnett County Championship Tournament in mid-September at Hebron. Despite being the smallest school at the tournament, they defeated Hebron, Archer and Greater Atlanta Christian in pool play and swept through bracket play before defeating Wesleyan in the Championship match.

Two weeks later Cornerstone played in the Wesleyan Invitational and downed GAC, Norcross and Westminster in pool play and then got by Wesleyan in bracket play before defeating Pace in the Championship.

They finally wrapped up their season in early October by defeating Eastside Christian to win the North Atlanta Metro League (NAML) Championship.

“I am very Proud of this group of girls, They work hard, encourage each other, have a lot of fun and really seek to glorify the Lord with their athletic abilities” Faust said, “I look forward to seeing what we can accomplish next year.”
