The Goody Book Awardshave just crowned Cliff Bramble’s restaurant business book, The Business Side of Restaurants, the first place winner in the Business, Travel & Hospitality category in their annual book awards.
The book, written and published in 2022, is an Amazon number one bestseller and best new release. For over a year, it has remained on the best-seller list in the service category.
Bramble was one of the co-founders of Rathbun’s Restaurants in Atlanta, including Rathbun’s, Krog Bar, Kevin Rathbun Steak and KR SteakBar. Over a 15-year period, he helped build some of the highest-grossing restaurants in Atlanta, and some of the best restaurants in the U.S.
He also owned Noble Fin restaurant in Gwinnett County, recognized as one of the best in the county. Bramble is the author of two other books, The Marketing Side of Restaurants, and Sixty Things to Teach Kids Before They Graduate College. Additionally, he founded Peachtree Corners Restaurant Week and co-founded Inman Park Restaurant Week.

The significance of the award to Bramble is close to his heart, since when he wrote it during the COVID pandemic. After closing his award-winning Noble Fin restaurant, he set out to help others. The Business Side of Restaurants is focused on that goal.
“This was a total surprise to me,” Bramble said. “I was notified through an Instagram message. The fact that the book has remained on the bestseller list on Amazon is exciting to me, and I really appreciate the other restaurant professionals who have reached out to me telling me they loved the book.”
The Business Side of Restaurants has 180 pages filled with information to help others open a restaurant. It is available in paperback, audiobook and e-book formats through Amazon, Barnes & Noble and Audible.
The Goody Book Awards has a team of nine authors, public relations and business experts, along with hundreds of years in experience as a business and public relation advisors. Goody Book Award advisors selects over 100 winners in 45 categories. The winners are awarded based on how well the book was written and how much the book helps others.

The PCBA also presented a check of $500 to Furkids in support of their efforts to care for animals while helping to find their forever homes.
“The PCBA is proud to donate a check for $500 to Samantha Shelton, CEO of Furkids in support of their efforts to rescue homeless animals, provide them with the best medical care and nurturing environment while working to find them a forever home,” said Lisa Proctor, PCBA President.
“Our Outreach Committee and Board are impressed with Furkids’ commitment to provide care and restoration for these special animals at their no kill shelters. With the PCBA’s continuous commitment to supporting our community in a meaningful way, we are excited to be a small part of their efforts,” she added.
Headquartered in Georgia, Furkids is a nonprofit charitable organization that operates the largest cage-free, no-kill shelter in the Southeast for rescued cats, and Sadie’s Place, a no-kill shelter for dogs. Furkids also operates one of the only facilities in the Southeast dedicated to the care of FIV positive cats.
Furkids has rescued and altered more than 55,000 animals since its founding in 2002. Approximately 1,000 animals are in the Furkids program today, in the Furkids shelters, 10 PetSmart and Petco adoption centers, and more than 400 foster homes in the Atlanta area.
Funds for the PCBA Community Outreach program are raised throughout the year from PCBA membership, sponsorship and the annual charity event. Donations and scholarships are awarded at monthly events so members can learn more about these organizations.
Peachtree Corners announced that Shadow-Soft has joined Curiosity Lab as a Startup Program partner, providing additional resources for startups in the lab’s incubation program.
